Below is a summary of the species list compiled by Andy Middleton for BNFL Magnox Generation, as its entry into the BTO-Tarmac Bird Challenge for 2003. A total of 120 species. In the 2002 competition 126 species were seen at OPS (+ a dead Storm Petrel), making it 5th in the Power Station section. In the 2001 competition 126 species were seen and in 2000, 140 species; the 16th highest total in that year's challenge.
